  • Sisterhood of the World Bloggers: Award

    November 11th, 2015

As I come back, after taking a few weeks off from blogging, I must be honest with myself I didn’t want to accept this award. I felt like I was not worth it. I felt buried under all the stuff that made life painful. I know now, I’m growing from a dark past, growing from my present circumstances and like new moons when it peeks through I am brighter and stronger.

So it is with great humility, I awake to see, I’m surrounded  by sisters and brothers who encourage, inspire me, and say hey take your time. Have a little fun ,why don’t- cha. I am reminded to focus on the light, that is everything I am becoming.

I accept this award without further delay.

From the depth of my heart ,I say thank you: Stormie Steele -she is a sister ,friend, a light, a drum that strengthens me and so many others -please stop over on her blog and breathe a light of fresh air for stormiesteele

  • Path of Love

    September 29th, 2015

    Today she

    let the light in-

o’ boy did that feel good!

    Her metaphysical power

    Brushing the leaves

    allowing herself to be both

    broken, and spirited

    Know your own power

whether through hail or raving lights

  • The Race:

    September 24th, 2015

    Just try a little fluttering

    putter

with the wings growing out back

    in the falling swing

    resilience grows

    the writer’s art in sowing

    nine stitches rebelliously knowing

    it’s not over

    it’s not over…

(credit image taken by: Charles E. Tate)

    Upon grainy sands

    she numbered them

    Not alone

    Thousand waves of heat

    Not alone

    though dark days come

    Not alone

    Wet and in despair

    Lonely but not alone

    A simple comfort

    in distant friends

    not alone

    there is a path

    carved out just for me

(image credit photo: November rain- http://majamaki.com/2012/11/november-rain/ )

    My soul

emerged – east of the Nile river

deeper – in the Red sea

    Nesting in the wilderness

    Hatching in milk and honey

I fastened my shoes in Passover

Borrowed gold, exchanged my foreign speech,

    not bruised, marked or curse

    Yet-upright my soul stood proudly

My soul has a name in Canaan- that’s mighty sweet.

  • Traveling Skyward:

    August 28th, 2015

    pink sky

She has flown beyond the cusp of the sun

    her wings,her tears,her call,her eyes

navigate between the sky and I

miraculous splendor to share in microspec

earthly bread – reach heaven’s gate

    and return

    with

    ease…

    My tears

    are happy

    sharpened  with diamonds,

    sketching around hymns

    in gardens

    that call me home.
