And With This: I Bless You

thumb

I bless you, that your old men and mother’s
in your house will remain to strengthen
our feeble hearts.

I bless you that this generation would see goodness returned
and mercy is sown in fields of despair.

I bless you that our daughters will
hold virtuously in wisdom and kindness
and no evil will befall them.

I bless you. As sure as the sunrise.
I bless you. As sure as the earth heaves.
I bless you. As sure as the stars are born.

I bless you. As sure as the mountain skips.
I bless you. As sure as the thistle bares its milk.

I bless you. As sure as the Lions’ roar.
I bless you. As sure as the grass fadeth away.
I bless you. As sure as the dew falls in the morning.

I bless you…~your Kindness sister Krissy Mosley

  1. There is something about a thorough blessing — not one that just says “bless you” like somebody sneezed but that gets down in the mud and joy of our lives and paints us with them . Thoroughly — dog shaking all the water, baby patted enough to burp, heart eased after a long time thorough. Thank you.
