Not wanting to be sectarian and push my religion which is Christian but the first century man Paul of Tarsus wrote in his very first letter that we call first Thessalonians this (5: 16-18) Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances … And it was really clear not thanks for all circumstances — because there are terrible things that happen to folks but “in” all circumstances. You put that joy and gratitude together in your post and that’s what immediately came to me.
