  • Growing Day 27) Napowrimo- Variant Haiku

    April 27th, 2015

    Tranquil #1Planting

    tree space

    in my soul.

    Tilling

    watered holes

    turning over anew.

    Gardening

    inward growth

    preparing for harvest.

As (April )National Poetry Month is quickly passing- I am blessed today with all goodness and kind words, flowing on my blog and others(such positive goodness) . Please visit if you haven’t

    Day Twenty-Seven

The dedication bloggers have-its in our blood. I understand this habit of writing and sharing. As (my grand) daddy would say  Howdy-“keep milking the cows, chase a hens or two that’s good livin!”… I am thankful for this space to write. There is nothing more beautiful, when I look around and see love…

And today’s prompt – optional, as always — comes to us from Vince Gotera. It’s the hay(na)ku). Created by the poet Eileen Tabios and named by Vince, the hay(na)ku is a variant on the haiku. A hay(na)ku consists of a three-line stanza, where the first line has one word, the second line has two words, and the third line has three words. You can write just one, or chain several together into a longer poem. For example, you could write a hay(na)ku sonnet, like the one that Vince himself wrote back during NaPoWriMo 2012!

    Happy writing!

  • Wide Open (Day 20,Napowrimo)

    April 20th, 2015

Knickers for my comfort ,ground-hazelnuts are in brew.

Drizzling antelopes on hills so tall.Whistling pebbles lump side up.

Bitten by an ant on my left pinky toe. Spring storms rushing through.

Conversing in greyish tree bark, budding in concrete seas. Chili pies and cherry too.

Settle in chile, we are in Indiana now.

write a poem that states the things you know. For example, “The sky is blue” or “Pizza is my favorite food” or “The world’s smallest squid isParateuthis tunicata. Each line can be a separate statement, or you can run them together.

  • Higher Call Day 18),Napowrimo

    April 18th, 2015

    Our spirits groan deep within.

Yearning for each mountain to climb.

A subtle gaze to look upon,

    ancient-land.

    The wooden staff ,

    healing-breeze

For when the mountain calls you- go

    Go-home to the “burning tree”

    and listen closely,

    the mountain speaks.

  • Love’s Tree

    March 22nd, 2015

                       Inflamed earthquakes

                       Invisible to my cry

                       I saw love tenderly tending,

    Exchanging her life for me

I saw love marching to a lovers’ drum

I saw love hanging between two thieves

    With vinegar stained lips

“The Temple’s Veil” torn in two

“Forgive them,” that’s what I saw love do!
