  • The Light is Still Coming:

    March 20th, 2020

    such a beautiful storm

    seas talking with the ocean,

seen a many things passing, fearful and normal

    never saw this day a-coming.

what If I can’t carry, everything -the world has me buying

what if I’m, running around with my eyes wide open – while others maybe dying

how will I know, I can’t carry this load

how will I know, if I’m half past crazy or its me and the world

one thing I know- I remember those old scriptures

    I remember them well,

“reap what you sow” “God is not the author of fear nor confusion but of love and a sound mind”

so I’m telling myself, get hold of yourself

hold on to your faith and let go of the day.

    hollowed hearts- cry out,

    God we made our mistakes,

    coming closer and closer,

the sky it awakes, turning our faces to you

God- we are turning our faces,

    to you. Amen.

    your Kindness sister Krissy

  • The High Score, if you can’t beat’em, join’em: I’ll be…

    February 26th, 2020

There I was sitting in my high chair. Okay, so I don’t have a High Chair. Or a bar stool. I just wanted something fancy, high-riding, where I could swing my feet off the ground. Take in the high air- not like the warmth of another winter. Where the hot air rises and I do too.

Where the bad news can’t reach me or get-me down in my shoes.

Where my toes are free. On Summer’s eve, even though it’s 37 degrees and snowing,

Where the dew of the morning gently rest over my curds and whey. Ignoring the bits of icy rocks setting sail,

instead my mind has gone to nearby cell,

Where my arms have no sleeves, dawn has no end,

with sun tan lotion and glowing. ah- the taste of sweetness,

Where the dew of the morning gently rest over my curds and whey.

Where the children say, ‘Ola, Ola

having a ball, tumbling around in the hay.

    kindness sister, Krissy

  • Drawing close to the Spirit… Cry of My Spirit

    January 29th, 2020

The spirit of peace moves, where there is chaos it will cease

The spirit of love moves, where there is hatred it will cease

The spirit of kindness moves, where there suffering it will cease

The spirit of hope moves, where is helplessness it will cease

The spirit of gentleness moves, where there is loss, there will be comfort,

    covering multitudes,

    covering disasters,

    covering failures,

    it moves

    “with healing in its wings”

  • When We Are Still…

    January 21st, 2020

Suddenly there was a shift in the atmosphere, even the birds could feel it. The red cardinal perched in the middle of winter snow. The backyard gate swinging. Like something was coming.

I’d never forgotten, the road that leads me home. Midst of maple in the air, the sayings of elders “take the Lord along with you” “when love builds the house”- the window curtains may fade, time slips over into another the day, Ceramic angels have multiplied scattered around the living room.

we are all, God’s birds, chanting our own tune,

    dazzling midst

temporarily the ash starts to burn

colors of “Josephs’ robe” -lights up the sky

in the shadow of moon’s trees

and we live and we live

  • “Leave it Alone, God Can”

    January 16th, 2020

I found an old guitar clip but I couldn’t find my pen

words started pouring out just when I dug my heels in,

sitting my old chair pass down a generation,

    words that slip

    age after age

    winter after winter,

    horns are blowing,

    drifting me back

    where God calls the roll,

“to be absent in the body, to be present with the Lord”,

please tell everybody – when God calls the roll

I’ll be down here praying, working

    keep those old sayings,

loving my neighbor like everybody should

    holding my little darlings,

    telling them with goodness

    kindness flows like river

patience grows like olive branches, out on the hill

    God watches over us

    brooding over those old hens

    I’ll be

tending to the gardens of life

    when God calls the roll

  • Unplug – Rewriting Circuit

    January 10th, 2020

I have the power today to unplug myself from the world

if even for a little while

    breathe

I have the power today to release my spirit into the divine arms of love

I have the power today to tap into the abundant life-giving source

I have the power today to quiet myself and heal my spirit

    Breathe two:

I am apart of the great I am

I am listening to the great spirit of light

    Breathe three

“I am that I am” is within me

Unplug and repeat -kindness sis Krissy

  • “Many Rivers to Cross”: Lord Only Knows where the river part ways

    January 8th, 2020

After-all the things I’ve been through I’ve still got my joy.

That’s to say. I’ve had to let go of some very hurtful things. Hold on to my own forgiveness story. From the depths of my childhood into the lives of my very own children.

I’ve been determined to to give my children the childhood in which they were surrounded with love and not criticism,

determined to build tiny humans that hold their heads up high and be proud of the past from

once we were slaves, and servants and vagabonds

and somehow found a path of love and peace in the midst of it all.

  • Living In the… (self care)

    January 6th, 2020

The minutes go by so fast. I needed to slow down, rinse the world off . Share a little love. Smile at the trees blowing in the sky. Dance, while the trees are dancing. Laugh with today’s morning sun. Live a little less, with the things I must do. ..

    In doing so, my spirit

    is rejuvenated in love,

I am creating spirit in this moment,

The time I have taken is a blessing

and therefore I can be a blessing to anyone I meet.

  • “Such As I have”

    January 3rd, 2020

I know its been said “all we need is love” above all else, what else can mankind render if not love? I find myself -talking to myself- taking long walks around this abandoned track. One in fact used to belong to a middle school. Which closed about fours years ago. I could see that world has abandoned its truest nature to love. However, I know love’s most effective promise- is that of love, when it is given and given again. Love can never be lost.
