    February 28th, 2020

When you soul is weak, and there aren’t enough soft throw pillows or

throwing dirt over the paved highway, which seems to be your life,

    bare-with me God,

    let me humanize my feelings…

    kindness sis (to be continued)

  • I’ll tell you What I Know:

    October 13th, 2015

And when the man of time is done

    Trees cut through and through

    Oh’ Beastly – silly one

    Give yourself to you

    and not another

Lend your cares not to beg

    In sorrow sow joy

In Mourning sow  a gentle burst of sun

    Fathering a simple plea

    when my life is done

    You shall see me again

    kneading a shadow’s glow

    in a dash hope –

    life is sweeter

  • “We Wear the Mask”-‘Paul Laurence Dunbar’

    July 23rd, 2015

We writers are not alone: So many Poets/Authors have paved for the for Artists to Survive:

Poem: By Paul Laurence Dunbar ‘My all time favorite- Enjoy!!!

WE wear the mask that grins and lies,
It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,-
    This debt we pay to human guile;
With torn and bleeding hearts we smile,
    And mouth with myriad subtleties.

Why should the world be over-wise,
In counting all our tears and sighs?
Nay, let them only see us, while
    We wear the mask.

We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries
To thee from tortured souls arise.
We sing, but oh the clay is vile
    Beneath our feet, and long the mile;
But let the world dream otherwise,
    We wear the mask!

  • Social News Day 17 Napowrimo

    April 18th, 2015

    Naturally conditioning

    each breaking strand

    # I just woke up like this

Socially raging on the latest catastrophes

    is it me

    Overly justifying who I am

#are humans in a feeding frenzie

    Translating #likes #fights and #unfriending

all I ever wanted was # happy

    I remember telephones booths

    a life without youtube

    Where dating was in person

Maybe I’m just stuck in 90’s

     Steel blue salt,
In the waters that doth not stale.
The greatest fear is to fail.
    Salt blue steel.
     Soulful lessons with each tide.
Till I, shake the need for dying.
Til I, manifest, solid visions of my dreams.
Til the Urchins of the sea, find a home past the thieves.
Caught between the thickets of its kind.
    Reeled forward holding lines.
    Hook in gills
    Gills in hooks
      Reflections, of unsung stories
    all that lies before me
     tis but, Pearls of Opportunities.
