My soul
emerged – east of the Nile river
deeper – in the Red sea
Nesting in the wilderness
Hatching in milk and honey
I fastened my shoes in Passover
Borrowed gold, exchanged my foreign speech,
not bruised, marked or curse
Yet-upright my soul stood proudly
My soul has a name in Canaan- that’s mighty sweet.

Sharing our Hearts
through fragile bones
can shake mountains
splitting oceans into seven seas
but we’ll still be
together
with Love ,Kindness…

Write?
Writing is my wings on fire
my Crisco
my shea butter
my spicy crackle
my closet dance
Writing – gets me to be me!

She has flown beyond the cusp of the sun
her wings,her tears,her call,her eyes
navigate between the sky and I
miraculous splendor to share in microspec
earthly bread – reach heaven’s gate
and return
with
ease…

She rolled back
her emerald curls
Gave way for wonders oozing and
miracles
infinite speed-
with my eyes I can see.

Just keep
growing
No matter
what people say

Clear and cloudy
half torn and valued
She held a hearty smile.
